Clean up in aisle 5

***Attention Wal-Mart Shoppers: Will the owner of the Swamp Beast wandering through the snack aisle please report to the customer service counter.***

My dinky 4 mile run yesterday was disgustingly hot...it was 80 degrees but the pavement felt SO MUCH HOTTER after baking in the sun all day.

I was a mess. Afterwards I changed out of my sweaty clothes and went to Wal-Mart to run some last minute errands.

I guess I hadn't sufficiently "cooled down" because I ended up sweating through my fresh t-shirt at Wal-Mart.

And I never thought I could embarrass myself at Wal-Mart.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. I plan on eating my weight in hotdogs and maybe getting a double-digit run in tomorrow morning.

Have a good one!

  1. This is probably oversharing . . . A friend of mine told me to put underarm anti-perspirant under my bra line to help with the unintentional happy face I was making with the front of my t-shirts when I sweat. However, I seriously doubt rubbing the stuff all over my back would help.

  2. Yesterday was just plain hot. Today's not gonna get any better. But I guess with June races, blergh, we've all gotta get used to it!

  6. Here's a vote for morning rather than afternoon runs. You are a far better woman than I. When it hits 80 I just don't even try (and yes, this is a part of why I am still out of shape!).

  7. Lol I have done that too :) It's completely embarassing! It seems to take me FOREVER to stop sweating though, especially after a workout on such a hot day.

  8. you could never embarass yourself at walmart- This weekend I went with Jeff's aunt and we were standing in the checkout line waiting for a dad in front of us. The mom was standing with the groceries and their 2-3 yr old boy. Well the kid is facing us directly and we are just thinking of how long it is taking the annoying cashier to get through this guys' groceries when all of a sudden the kid just stars projectile vomitting all over the area where people walk their newly purchased fresh groceries to get out of the store.

ugh disgusting. and the mom just didnt know what to do and the dad was laughing at the cashier who kept saying she thought she was going to puke herself and none of the walmart employees did anything to clean it up but one guy finally stood in front of the piles.

    blah
